Hello, everybody, and thank you for being here. In today's episode, we'll we'll be discussing the difference between the job a Korea and of course, a Korea with purpose. Now, many people use the term job and Korea interchangeably. But the two have some key differences. And well, a job is typically seen as a position you take to earn money, it is typically focused on meeting your immediate basic needs, such as paying your bills, saving funds for the future, et cetera. And the jobs generally would include especially in cultures where, for instance, a wider is not seen as a professional more as a Hopalong job. So some of the jumps could be wider supermarket filler, back to work and babysitter, et cetera. Whereas a Korea, on the other hand, is a long term path that aligns with your interests, skills, and of course, goals. Usually, also requires education or some form of training, and offers opportunities for advancement development within a specific field, like example, teacher, doctor, lawyer, other professions, writer, artist, et cetera. It's how our whole education system has worked till now, and that's all good, and it's got us to where we're at.

1:57
But of course, we're living in times of change, we're living in times ofconstant upheaval, and definitely Polly crisis. And what that means is now a Korea by itself is fine, if it just fits in with your values around, you know, just making money. And of course, getting fine, and we're not making any of that wrong, we actually support all of that. At the same time, though, what happens if you can actually do all of that, you know, create wealth, definitely get recognized at the same time have a career with purpose, that is an intentional decision to maximize costs, what you're doing by misplace your career, and your life, be young, your everyday existence. And this is not for everybody, because some people are just happy to plod along, being visible, and just do their job every day, day in day out. It's, it's the way they are. So this is not for everybody, but it is for people, you know, that know, they have a choice right now, to live their lives differently. And certainly with the word purpose. And it is important, because purpose is really what gives you a reason why we exist, you know, and if you don't really look into that, that's fine as well. But certainly, as I mentioned, it's for people that really want to do something beyond themselves and at the same time, make a bigger difference to everyone that come in contact with. So a career with purpose is to do with what you professionally one, you know, with the added value results to make a difference between your current everyday activities and is to create new possibilities that also enliven your spirit and other spirit and leaves them feeling of course with something bigger than themselves, but at the same time, leaving you to be remembered and also long term with the legacy. It simply inspires you to play a bigger game, you know, and make a lasting impression on the world during your lifetime. And that includes of course personal career and business. The big issue for this is you know you wake up every day knowing that you got a bigger game to play and if your game right now, you know if you're bored, if you're frustrated if you're spinning your wheels, you know it's a good time to reflect and say really what's going on right now because for me these are all signs that something is actually talking to you and maybe you haven't got the answers but this is a great time to start asking you know why am I thinking this why feeling this way etc You know, maybe I'm looking for something more.

4:44
So while a career is typically work related, a career was purpose also includes your life purpose, meaning there's that you know that incorporates a personal element as well and can span any aspect of your existence. That's not up to me to tell people what they vocation should be. And should they avoid certain jobs and careers and a more well, these particular jobs and careers or so on, that's not up to me to basically make that decision for him. But what this is relevant is, again, I'm bringing it back to the times we live in now, specifically, because the times we're living in is the way it's going to be moving forward, we're going back to pre COVID. So there's a bigger reason for being here, again, and that's why we're obviously sharing around the whole concept of Korea with purpose today. So all contributions to society matter, and provide an essential need, no matter what it is job, Korea, or Korea with purpose, I want to make that clear for everybody. However, as I've noted, in the ever changing and chaotic world, and I've noted this previously, many times Life is short, you know, we've already witnessed havoc in the last three years, we've already seen a lot of challenge is for people, companies, institutions, etc. So having a career with purpose can be the driver, you know, your greater sense of accomplishment, knowing that your new cause is making a positive difference to the world, like nothing you've ever done previously, it helps you feel definitely more fulfilled and satisfied in your projects, as you do something meaningful and worthwhile. That also contributes to your bottom line.

6:35
And what I mean by that is, yeah, I mean, if you're gonna be living your life, that way, where you need courage, you know, you need the courage of your convictions that are challenging you to say, well, you know what, there's so much more out there. And I've been doing this Korea for the last 1015 20 years, and at the moment, right now might be feeling a little bit empty. So this is a great opportunity to, you know, the face again, the mirror and get deeper into what do you really want a gate in addition to what you need, but what do you want, again, and also been very clear that what also you don't want? And if you're not enough lived experience, you'd be able to answer that question as well, very clearly, in reference to what you don't want. Secondly, a career with purpose can help you better understand yourself, the strengths and of course, your values. It allows you to take ownership and control of your Korean business, as you're doing something meaningful, and valuable to you and your clients. And, of course, all stakeholders. And what that means is that can see, you know, in a, in an era where trust has gone down, the proverbial people and businesses are looking for trust, they're looking for personal brand trust and looking for corporate brand trust. So this is an essential component with also then when you get a purpose outside of selling, you know, your products or your services. You know, it's it's an understanding that you really are contributing a lot more than just the stick that you've been producing till now, having said that, that's okay, if you don't want to do that as well. Right. This is, again, this is designed to provoke you into action. And also question really, you know, your overall existence. So from the perspective of moving forward, yes, a career purpose or your allows you to make a lasting impact in the world. And rather than just short term, the box type of wins, usually includes ongoing professional development, obviously, for yourself, to keep you at the tipping point of growth, it can provide a great opportunity to challenge yourself and to push yourself and others outside of your comfort zones. That's why I say this is not for everybody. Most people on the planet live in the comfort zones, you know, why is people in the pilot think when somebody's courageous, they get bored, that's a scary thing. That's because that, you know, it works like really, really scary, especially when so many people virtually are complicit, you know, in just going with the flow, as opposed to going out there and creating the miracles in their life that are possible for them. So this is a big aspect of this purpose driven cause, again, remember, you can align purpose with your business, it could be your career line purpose with your career.

9:32
And of course, this all has impact in your personal life. It could also be a non for profit, that's definitely purposeful as well. And you know, historically, it's where a lot of people would have initially might have started at surplus. It can also help you better understand yourself and your place in the world, you know, because you'll be able to align everything your career business, with your values, and passions that make you feel alive, you know, LEED integrator, of course, satisfaction, and fulfillment, this is not a trick, this is a way of being this is what you do every day, you know. So it what that means is if you're going to be talking about mental health and well being, right, this is who you are, you're not using it as a marketing trick, you're gonna be talking about, you know, the safety and liberation of animals. This is something that you live, you're not doing it again to tick the box. And that also includes to the climate, if you're going to truly believe about the environment and the climate, it's something what you live, you don't do it as greenwashing exercise, so you can look good. This is about really living your purpose, and also allows you to take ownership and control of your career as you're doing something meaningful and valuable to yourself. Now, the interesting thing here is when you authentically do this, you'll become a different person, when you do this, for you know, from the point of view of ticking boxes, or from a marketing point of view, so you can look good to the world, potentially, that could do damage to your long term other than reputational damage, because you'll be up for some form of, you know, reputation laundering, but at the same time, you're doing damage to yourself internally, because you know, you're not being fair, Lincoln, you're being a fake. And of course, eventually, all of bikes get showed up one way or the other. So lastly, a career with purpose can provide a sense of direction. Clarity, you know, allows you to focus on what truly matters in your life. And this is essential, and I mean, your life, not somebody else's life, not your boss's life, not your partner's life, or your friend's life, no one else's life, other than your life. Okay, this is very, very important to keep that top of mind because we all get condition, we all, you know, get into comfort zones, we all play it safe for whatever reason, you know, that's up to you to work that out. So to summarize, a career with purpose gets you the opportunity to make a positive difference in the world, and to gain a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction, to develop a clear understanding of yourself, to take ownership of your career and business to make a lasting impact to challenge yourself outside of your comfort zone. And lastly, to increase your earning potential, you'll be doing something valuable and worthwhile. That makes you certainly think about yourself that at least it's all been worth it at the end. So remember, your purpose in life might change from time to time. And it's important to take the time to reflect on what truly matters to you now, and align your career and business with values and passions. You know, they keep you feeling enlivened. So take a moment to take stock and consider the possibilities. Ask yourself, why do I want to make a bigger difference? Assuming that's what you want to do? And the answer and my answer is this because it's worth it. So thank you for listening. As always, please remember to subscribe to our podcast and leave us a review on Apple podcasts.
